You can use your new electric bike to go to the gym for a swim! A 20 minute drive in a car will probably be about a 1 hour there and a hour back.
How’s that sound?

A good suggestion, Wayne, but the shortest way is on an interstate! 😦

Yes please to the Tobacco Trail tour.

Will post when I get a bike. It’s mainly wooded but it goes for miles!

You have quite the eye, Noelle! Thank you for this. In the community where we once lived in AZ, there was an open-air pool which was kept at 80F all year — not too hard in the desert!

I would have loved that pool and been in it every single day!

Your walk zone is still more scenic than mine, which (other than the out of place farmer’s field) is all residential. That’s definitely an odd pattern in that grass…. if the aliens aren’t responsible for crop circles, then I definitely think they did that!

That did occur to me! The only good thing is that there are still lots of trees, and thus, of course, squirrels!

Your walk photos are beautiful. I need to get out and walk much more than I do. My sisters live in So. California and go to the pool all year round and love it.

A lovely walk thanks Noelle – and I didn’t have to leave the house! Love the mail box! My daily walk these days comprises a 20 minute walk in one direction and a 20 minute walk back. It’s the same trail each day so gets a bit monotonous.

I know about monotony, which is why I try so hard to find SOMETHING different or amusing on the walks!

Noelle, what a lovely walk. I enjoyed spending time with you. 🌲

Thank you, Colleen! It’s lovely for the first week or so and then it gets monotonous….

Delightful walk, Noelle! How amazing our world is wherever we may roam. An electric bike sounds like a great way to get around and I’ll bet Santa is already getting yours ready! 🎄 Wishing you A Very Merry Christmas and a New Year overflowing with blessings! xo

I don’t have quite as many ailments as you, but certainly, our bodies are a factor when considering what activities we choose. I also like to swim, though my gym (the one with the pool) closed during Covid and did not return. Walking is a close second, though. As our bodies can hang in there, it seems like a good choice during the colder months.

Absolutely. Swimming is the best for me although I do ride and stationary bike when the mood hits – it’s in the garage so I get to look at the walls!

Lovely and ‘different’ walk, Noelle. Thanks for sharing it with us. Just back from a twilight stroll in the forest, where the leaves have mostly parted company with the trees, carpeting the trails with gold, orange, lemon and russet.

Walking is so good for you, Noelle. I’m glad you get out there and make the best of it. If you don’t use it, you lose it. Trite but so true. I don’t do much walking around my home since we don’t have sidewalks on our narrow twisty roads, and the forest is owned by logging companies (so it’s off-limits without a permit). Sigh. Keep up the steps, my friend.

Thanks, Geoff. I will try the Tobacco Trail at some point, but my distance is a little limited, unlike my blogging friend from England with boundless energy! 😉
